Alaska's At-large congressional district comprises the entire state of Alaska. This congressional district has the largest land area and lowest population density of any district in the United States. It is the second-largest parliamentary constituency in the world, behind only the Canadian territory of Nunavut.

The district/state is currently represented by Republican Don Young and has been since 1973.

Election results

This district is normally considered safely Republican because no Democrat has been elected since 1972 and because incumbent Don Young hasn't faced a serious challenge since 1990 when he faced Mayor John Devens (D-Valdez), who was defeated by a comfortable margin. Although allegations of corruption against Young led Democrats to target this race in 2008, Young retained his seat.
